I have implemented a few signal generators but they have been rather (arbitrary waveform) function generators where ALC and Power limits did not play a role, but I can imagine that these parameters are more important e.g for RF signal generators.
According to my answer to your other issue:
I could imagine that adding a Parameter box could be also a viable solution to this problem where you then could add two custom parameters to the driver. If we see that there are numerous drivers that need these parameters, we could add them as permanent fields to the modules.
yes the option with the Parameter Box will work in this case and would fit my needs.
Still I think you may consider adding ALC control to the module itself since most Signal generators will support this. Just as a remark. This issue can be closed.
We have updated the Signal module with parameter inputs for ALC, Power Limit, and Power Limit Unit. The new GUI parameters are described in our wiki.
Additionally, signal drivers can now contain custom parameters, which will be displayed in the custom parameter box.
You can download the new Module Version 2025-08-14 via Tools → Modules&Devices → Signal
The module requires SweepMe! Version >= 1.5.7, so make sure to update to the latest version.
