Dear SweepMe! experts,
We’re happy to announce a new beta feature that enhances the flexibility and responsiveness of the SweepMe! GUI system.
What’s new?
We’ve extended general support for dynamic GUI parameters, meaning:
-
Static GUI elements of a module (e.g. dropdowns, text fields) can now dynamically update based on other GUI fields. Previously, this was only supported for custom driver parameters shown in the “Parameters” box.
-
A change of measurement variables due to an updated GUI field—whether a static field or a custom driver parameter—are now immediately communicated to the ParameterManager.
How to test it
A self-extracting .exe file is available in the SweepMe! beta versions section of your SweepMe! account dashboard. Simply double-click to extract it to any location. When you start SweepMe!.exe, version 1.5.7.7 beta will be loaded, using your existing settings, scripts, and drivers.
We’d love your feedback!
Please let us know:
-
Do your measurements work as expected?
-
Does the UI update correctly?
-
Are there any issues when loading or saving settings? (Tip: use a new file for testing.)
If no issues are reported, we plan to release this feature in one of the next official versions.
Thanks for testing and helping us improve SweepMe!
Best regards,
The SweepMe! Team
