Bug: MakeFolder with using Variables

When using the MakeFolder module togehter with a parameter evaluation like in the picture below

the parameter is evaluated correctly, but replaces the module input permanently. This way creating different folders controlled by a parameter becomes impossible.

For example, after the first evaluation where temp=300, the Folder name becomes “300K” and then stays like this no matter the change of the parameter.

Is this a bug?

This sound like a missing feature as we might have not implemented to check for updated parameters. As far as I observed it, MakeFolder is not that heavily used which is why it could be that such an issue has not been revealed until now.

I have created a backlog item and we will report when there are more insights or a solution is available.

@MarkusM
There was indeed a bug such that the use of the parameter syntax was already prepared for but never realized in a working way.

A new module version is uploaded in state “testing”. You can login with your account and then download it. If everything works, we will make it available to all users.

I have also updated the Wiki

Please have a look at the handling section.

Thanks again for spotting the issue!

As the answer was marked as Solution, I have changed the new MakeFolder module version to ‘live’ making it publicly available to all SweepMe! Pro subscribers.
