I am measuring transistors using the Keithley SCS 4200. I wanted to use the current limit feature and tried enabling it in SweepMe, but it was set to auto, and I couldn’t change it. So, I switched to the latest version of the sweepme, module and device software, I was able to enable the current limit, but the measurement did not run.
How can I resolve this issue?
Also, is there opportunity to use pulse mode in the Keithley SCS 4200?
the SweepMe! driver for controlling the Keithley 4200-SCS parameter analyzer supports two ways of communication:
via KXCI server that comes with the instrument supporting GPIB or TCPIP.
via LPTlib server that has been created by us and supports Ethernet/TCPIP.
When controlling the 4200-SCS via KXCI server, we figured out that not all instrument settings are available such as precise control over the current ranges for example.
Therefore, we created an LPTlib server application that redirects commands sent via Ethernet/TCPIP to the lptlib.dll that is already installed on your parameter analyzer and that provides a wide range of functionalities. We basically recommend to switch to the use of the LPTlib server as this is the way that we will support and continuously improve during customer projects.
You can find further information about the use of LPTlib server on the webpage of the Keithley 4200-SCS SweepMe! driver for the SMU module:
